Olive oil Bilini at the Cannes Film Festival 2021

Through sponsoring the Duart company, Family farm Rakovac, or – more precisely – our extra virgin olive oil Bilini, was present at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.

About Duart

Duart (= do art) is a company that collaborates with actors, film and theater directors ? and production companies to provide the right actors for the right roles.

The company’s  beggining lays in 2014, when it was working on the film “A Perfect Day” and had to find actors for 6 different roles. This meant finding 30-50 actors to audition. Google proved unhelpful, as were the other platforms they tried because they were focused on the U.S. market. Therefore, the founders of this company decided to create their own platform, focused on European actors, mostly from Southeast Europe. In 2018, they decided to make themselves available to all professionals from the audio-video industry.

Duart helps ensure the promotion, visibility and availability of A / V professionals, all from one central location. When they first started, many of their colleagues were disappointed with the existing ways of finding work. That’s why Duart started organizing his own casting sessions. On them, each person received individual treatment, enough time to explore the role with the casting director and an accessible professional who takes care of them. Duart now offers a platform where A / V professionals can showcase their experience and accomplishments, but can also post and apply for job offers.

The Duart platform is extremely well received in Croatia, where it brought together over 150 of the most prominent Croatian actors. They have collaborated with Netflix, Amazon and BBC One and have hired over 70 actors for various international projects. They have recently become available to the entire film industry and A / V professionals worldwide.

The Duart folks planned to present high quality Croatian products at their stand at the Cannes Film Festival. This is where the idea of ​​cooperation between Duart and OPG Rakovac was born.

We are delighted to have been able to sponsor Duart with a few bottles of Bilini extra virgin olive oil. Our oil – along with some other Croatian products, including the products of the Aura Distillery and Antique Pelinkovac – was served to people from the film industry during the festival.

The Cannes Film Festival

The Cannes Film Festival, until 2003 known as the International Film Festival (Festival international du film) is an annual film festival held in Cannes, France. The festival premieres new films of all genres (including documentaries) from around the world. Founded back in 1946, this is a festival that can only be visited exclusively by prior invitation from the organizers.

Duart sent us, along with other beautiful photos and stories, this video of Mr. Vladimir from Prague. After tasting Bilini’s olive oil, Vladimir decided to share his impressions in front of the camera:

This gentleman evidently knows real extra virgin oils. He made a comparison between our EVOO Bilini and extra virgin olive oil made from the Greek olive variety Kalamata. He well noted that Bilini extra virgin olive oil organoleptically can be categorized into mild oils. With an extremely rich taste, dominated by the aroma of flowers ?
