This year\u2019s harvest is over. It was hard work, and things did not always go to plan. Read on to find out how the 2026 olive harvest<\/strong> went for us and what kind of olive oil it brought us.<\/p>\n

Before the harvest<\/h2>\n

Any experienced olive grower can estimate roughly how many olives<\/strong> they will harvest long before picking begins. That was the case for us, too.<\/p>\n

Last year, we had a record harvest<\/strong>. In olive growing, though, you can hardly expect one record harvest to be surpassed by an even better one the very next year.<\/p>\n

I estimated that this year\u2019s crop would be around half of last year\u2019s<\/strong>. And I wasn\u2019t far off: we harvested 40% fewer olives than last year. However, the oil yield was very good this year<\/strong>, so there will still be plenty of olive oil.<\/p>\n\n\t\t\t
