Will there be problems with workers&#8217; coordination?<\/li>\n<li>how will we handle olive processing? Will we unload olives into olive mill with masks on our faces? What if the government proclaims lockdown at the time of harvest?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Fortunately, <a href=\"https:\/\/opg-rakovac.hr\/en\/blog\/evoo-bilini\/fresh-pressed-olive-oil\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the harvest<\/a> went well. There was enough fruit and we were fortunate that our oil-mill partners were able to accompany us with extremely fast and high-quality processing, thus we once again made top-quality EVOO Bilini.<\/p>\n<h3>NYIOOC 2021 &#8211; The registration process<\/h3>\n<p>As soon as we noticed that the organizers of the New York International Olive Oil Competition communicated the opportunity to apply for the 2021 competition, we began our own preparations but also took care to inform the rest of the Croatian olive growing community about this.<\/p>\n<p>As usual, we prepared two bottles of olive oil Bilini, 250 ml each.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_15119\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-15119\" style=\"width: 209px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/opg-rakovac.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/bocice-Bilini-za-NYIOOC-e1621962427905.jpg\" class=\"fancybox\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-15119 size-medium\" title=\"bottles of EVOO Bilini ready for shipping to New York\" src=\"https:\/\/opg-rakovac.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/bocice-Bilini-za-NYIOOC-209x300.jpg\" alt=\"EVOO Bilini\" width=\"209\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-15119\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">bottles of EVOO Bilini ready for shipping to New York<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>You may have read our <a href=\"https:\/\/opg-rakovac.hr\/en\/blog\/evoo-bilini\/why-we-are-not-at-nyiooc-2020\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">last year\u2019s article<\/a> about how our bottles arrived in New York too late to be accepted for NYIOOC 2020, given that the impending pandemic disrupted postal services around the world (the U.S. was no exception).<\/p>\n<p>Naturally, this year we feared that the package wouldn&#8217;t arrive on time. Fortunately, everything went well.<\/p>\n<h3>Anticipation<\/h3>\n<p>Just like in previous years, this year we did not sleep before the competition. &#8220;Are we going to win a medal?&#8221; \u201cWhat if they don\u2019t like our oil this year?\u201d &#8230; these are all tough questions plaguing olive growers struggling to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oliveoiltimes.com\/world\/results-of-2021-world-olive-oil-competition-to-be-released\/92895\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">anticipate<\/a> results in such a prestigious competition.<\/p>\n<p>Slowly, day after day, came May 24th. In the afternoon hours Vedrana received an email from the organizers &#8230;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Tell the world about your winning brand<\/p>\n<p>The results are in and your brand is among the winners of the 2021 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, the world&#8217;s most prestigious olive oil quality award.<\/p>\n<p>We know how difficult it is to do what you have done.
